Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Marc Jacofsky serves as Chief Scientific Officer at Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company (HOPCo) and Executive Director of the Musculoskeletal Orthopedic Research & Education (MORE) Foundation. In these roles, he leads the organization’s research and data strategy, advancing musculoskeletal care through clinical trials, translational science, and innovation partnerships. Since joining HOPCo in 2006, Dr. Jacofsky has played a pivotal role in developing one of the nation’s most comprehensive musculoskeletal research labs. He has overseen the design and deployment of robotic testing systems, gait analysis laboratories, and clinical registries that support evidence-based orthopedic care and innovation. His work bridges academic research, product development, and real-world clinical performance. As Executive Director of the MORE Foundation, Dr. Jacofsky has guided initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, advancing provider education, and supporting charitable programs including prosthetics for children, transportation services for veterans, and community-based orthopedic outreach.
Dr. Jacofsky is a named inventor on more than 25 U.S. and international patents related to orthopedic devices and technologies. A published researcher and frequent speaker, he has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented at national and international scientific forums. Dr. Jacofsky’s work continues to shape the intersection of research, technology, and patient-centered care, supporting HOPCo’s mission to improve outcomes and transform the delivery of musculoskeletal health.
Dr. Jacofsky holds a PhD in Physical Anthropology and Bioengineering from Arizona State University, where his work focused on biomechanics and functional morphology. He also holds a Master’s degree in Physical Anthropology and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology and Physical Anthropology from Binghamton University.
