Michael Meneghini, MD, is the Chief Market Development Officer for HOPCo, where he leads initiatives to develop physician practice partnerships and drive growth. A globally renowned, award-winning orthopedic surgeon and educator, Dr. Meneghini is celebrated for his pioneering work in outpatient joint replacement and computer-assisted surgical techniques. With nearly 20 years of experience, his expertise spans total and partial hip and knee replacement, revision procedures, and advanced surgical methodologies.
Dr. Meneghini is the founder and CEO of the Indiana Joint Replacement Institute (IJRI), which he established as a leader in orthopedic care and joint replacement. An Indiana native, he graduated Magna Cum Laude in engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, earned his medical degree from Indiana University, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He further honed his expertise with a fellowship in complex hip and knee replacement at the Mayo Clinic.
A prolific contributor to medical research, Dr. Meneghini has authored over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. He is deeply engaged in clinical and industry conferences, sharing his knowledge with the broader medical community. He serves on the executive boards of several esteemed orthopedic organizations, including the Hip and Knee Societies, the Mid-American Orthopaedic Association (MAOA), and the International Congress for Joint Reconstruction (ICJR). Additionally, he is the incoming President of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).
Dr. Meneghini achieved the academic rank of Professor in Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2020, reflecting his commitment to advancing education and innovation in his field.
