Michael Meneghini, MD, serves as Chief Market Development Officer for HOPCo, leading initiatives to expand physician partnerships and drive growth. A globally recognized, award-winning orthopedic surgeon, researcher, and educator, Dr. Meneghini is known for leadership in outpatient joint replacement, implant design innovation, and computer-assisted surgery.
With more than 20 years of experience, his expertise includes primary and revision hip and knee replacement and advanced surgical technologies. He is a national and international leader in joint replacement and a key innovator in value-based, outpatient orthopedic care.
Dr. Meneghini is founder and CEO of the Indiana Orthopedic Institute (IOI), recognized for orthopedic innovation, patient outcomes, and surgical excellence. He previously served as founder and director of the Indiana University Health Hip and Knee Center.
An Indiana native, Dr. Meneghini graduated magna cum laude in engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and earned his medical degree from Indiana University. He completed residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and a fellowship in complex hip and knee reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Meneghini has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and frequently speaks at national and international conferences. He serves on boards of leading orthopedic organizations and is a Past President of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).
Dr. Meneghini has received numerous honors, including recognition as one of the “Top 22 Knee Surgeons in North America” by Orthopedics This Week and one of America’s Leading Doctors for Hip Surgery by Newsweek. He also received career achievement awards from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Indiana University School of Medicine and was appointed Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2020.
