Rina Vertes serves as President of Value-Based Care at Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company (HOPCo), where she leads the organization’s strategy and execution across payor engagement, medical economics and actuarial analysis, claims analytics, risk contracting, medical cost management, and network optimization. She has led strategic initiatives across the healthcare continuum, including population health management, bundled payments, risk-bearing models, and provider-payor partnerships. 

Rina’s experience spans more than 30 years across managed care, health plan operations, and alternative payment innovation.   Prior to joining HOPCO, Rina served as CFO of a health plan, an actuary at Cigna, and also served as Chief Actuary and Chief Underwriter for BCBS Massachusetts.   Rina brings a rare blend of payor-side insight and provider-aligned execution. 

With a deep understanding of the evolving reimbursement landscape, Rina continues to lead transformative initiatives that position HOPCo and its partners at the forefront of value-based musculoskeletal care.  She is an active Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
