Chief Medical Informatics Officer

Bryan Wall, MD is HOPCo’s  Chief Medical Informatics Officer and has been responsible for building the integrated systems for the collection and analyzing data while interfacing with an in-house programming team to support the design and use of health technology. He leads a dedicated team on software engineers and data scientists for customization of HOPCo’s Healthcare IT environment, making it more physician-friendly and focused on patient-oriented quality initiatives. This has allowed HOPCo’s managed practices to warehouse and integrate the clinic and financial data contained in the EMR and other systems, making it reportable and actionable in real time. 

He also supervised the building of healthcare outcomes and management tools that capture physician outcome reporting, physician evaluations, and patient reported outcomes, applications designed for physician and patient use on desktop and mobile devices. The generated data is used for actively managing the quality of healthcare outcomes and determining which patients may be at risk for complications, by using predictive analytic models.

Dr. Wall has also served as Chief Executive Officer of The CORE Institute Specialty Hospital, overseeing the integration and evolution of the surgical facility which is now dedicated exclusively to orthopedic and spine procedures and is recognized for its superior clinical outcomes and financial performance.

Dr. Wall is an internationally fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and was recognized as the recipient of “The Mel Post Award for Excellence in Clinical Research” by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.

Dr. Wall keeps active in academic medicine. He has served as an assistant professor at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, and he has presented numerous, acclaimed scientific papers and posters to an international medical community. He has presented numerous papers and published several book chapters and articles on reverse shoulder arthroplasty while serving as a teaching figure to instruct other surgeons on how to perform the procedure.
