Pardee UNC Health Care and HOPCo Partnering to Create Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Specialty Center of Excellence
Hendersonville, NC (June 2, 2022) – Pardee UNC Health Care and Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company (HOPCo) have announced a partnership to transform the way musculoskeletal and neurosurgical care is delivered in western North Carolina. Under this partnership, HOPCo will help manage the musculoskeletal services at Pardee and develop a state-of-the-art neurosurgical and musculoskeletal specialty care center within Pardee’s existing hospital space. This will be the region’s first and only facility focused on these types of procedures.
Utilizing a phased approach while aligning physicians throughout the region, the program will focus first on developing a new spine and neurosurgical care platform. The new center will integrate Pardee’s existing orthopedic surgery program, resulting in a truly comprehensive approach to musculoskeletal and neurosurgical care. Throughout this period, HOPCo will bring experts from around the country to assist in the implementation and management of the center of excellence.

The model, known as a “hospital within a hospital”, will include upgrades and improvements to be made to the current orthopedic unit at Pardee hospital, without the need for additional construction. Patients will have access to the most modern surgical technology and a team of renowned specialists, all in one place.
