Chief Operating Officer

Ozzie Delgado serves as the Chief Operating Officer for HOPCo.  As Chief Operating Officer, Delgado leads HOPCo’s operations which includes its clinical operational management services, support services, as well as facilitating the operational oversight of practice market leaders across the country. 

Prior to joining HOPCo, Delgado served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Cleveland Clinic Florida Region since 2014.  At Cleveland Clinic, Delgado had a progression of leadership roles within Cleveland Clinic Florida which included serving as the Director of Pharmacy, the Administrative Director of Clinical Operations (which involved oversight of numerous clinical departments such as Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular services, Neurological services, and the Sleep Lab), and the Senior Director of Operations (which included oversight of non-clinical support services  such as Plant Operations/Facilities Management, Environmental services, Supply Chain Management, Security, and Construction Management). 

Delgado has vast experience in the planning and directing of efficient operations working hand-in-hand with the executive leadership teams to attain the strategic objectives in the delivery of high quality and value-based health care services for patients.  Raised in South Florida, Delgado has over 20 years of experience in healthcare. 

Delgado earned his Masters of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University, a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Pre-Med) from Barry University.  He has been an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2011, served as a previous Board member for ACHE of South Florida, and was a board member at the Weston YMCA.  Delgado received a fellowship designation from both the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists as well as a fellowship from the Health Management Academy GE Fellows Program.
